Mesa
This large abstract monolith is an assemblage of blocks and trapezoids of patinated aluminum in two separate pieces. It is 22 ft high, 36 ft in width and 16 feet deep. Mesa was originally installed in November 2003 at the Arts Center building on Dartmouth St. It was the first sculpture installed there, then moved to its current location in 2018.
Sculptor: Jon Krawczyk, an acclaimed California-based artist, known for his biomorphic sculptures in steel, aluminum and bronze. He has other sculptures on the Aggieland Art Trail, including Xiggerotts, La Familia and Hold On.
