Railroad Bridge Mosaics

Underneath the railroad bridge near the corner of Wellborn Road and W Villa Maria Road are 20 beautiful large mosaics depicting places around Bryan-College Station. Each tile is one-half inch square. Photos of local landmarks were taken, then a computer program made pixilated images which were turned into tiles. The artist is Maury Jacobs, now retired, who was the landscape architect for the Bryan district of the Texas Department of Transportation. He is a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M in landscape architecture.
